Glenn A. Britt is one of luckiest men on Earth, being the current chairman and CEO of Time Warner Cable (established in 1989). Time Warner Cable, formally known as Warner Cable Communications, operates in 27 different states in the Unites States, and withholds 31 working divisions.  Although there are 4 corporate offices total in the United States, the primary headquarters, in which Time Warner Cable is established, is in Stamford, Connecticut. Technology & Engineering Emmy Awards rewarded Time Warner Cable's outstanding VOD (Video on Demand) services in 2008. Time Warner Cable is a part of many different services within the corporation, with other offered services such as Road Runner (High Speed Internet & originally known as Southern Tier On-Line Community), Digital Phone Communications, a series of news stations, weather stations, and sports stations. With Time Warner Cable as your provider, there are numerous options available to your needs, even if you do not wish to own cable. The National Basketball League team: Charlotte Bobcats, is responsible for Time Warner Cable's name, because TWC was the largest cable provider for the Charlotte area. Time Warner Cable also owns an arena called the "Time Warner Cable Arena", simple enough; the arena is also called the Charlotte Bob Cats Arena)
In Time Warner Cable’s reach to success, they teamed up with Comcast to achieve all of Adelphia's assets, summing up to about $17 billion. Adelphia, also known as Adelphia Communications Corporation, was the fifth largest cable provider in the United States. Despite their popularity, they were bankrupt in 2002, leading to TWC and Comcast to buy them out. Time Warner Cable ended up acquiring 3.3 million of Adelphia's subscribers, which was an outstanding 29 percent increase in subscribers. On March of 2007, Time Warner Cable commenced trades with the New York Stock Exchange. Subsequently, Comcast and Time Warner Cable "swapped" many of their  most popular cities amongst each other; cities including Houston, Minneapolis, Los Angeles, and Philadelphia.
The Video on Demand services, provided by Time Warner Cable, contains various packages, including an HDTV package, international package, NHL (National Hockey League)/MLS (Major League Soccer)/ NBA (National Basketball League) Pass, DTV in Spanish, and several ESPN sports packages.  The International Programming includes channels in Spanish, Arabic, Vietnamese, Chinese, Hindi, Italian, French, and Russian. With the various language channels available, people from many different parts of the world, may also enjoy television programming at as little as $9.95 per month.
In relation to other cable, internet, and phone companies in the United States, Time Warner Cable is increasing in a positive linear direction, because of their advertisements. In total, there are about 32.1 million subscribers (December 31, 2006), and is currently the second largest cable provider in the United States. The slogan "The Power of You", can be interpreted as the people's great establishment in Time Warner Cable's success, and how the company became such a phenomenal provider to the United States.  With the company's great decisions to better the corporation, such as siding with Comcast, Time Warner Cable continues to increase in not only subscribers, but also popularity.
